  • Public Transport

    Kinds of Public Transport / Regular Public Transport:
    Street cars, trolley-buses, buses, railroads (including suburban), ships, etc.
    Underground: Subway.

  • Traffic controlled crosswalks

    The devices are installed at pedestrian crosswalks and provide audible and spoken announcements of the traffic light state.

    The volume of these announcements and alerts is adjusted depending on the time of day and may be switched off. When the signals are turned off, the Smart Guide receives a message from the Equipment over a radio channel informing it that the signals have been temporarily switched off. It relays this message through the built-in speaker or earphones. Users can use their Smart Guides to turn the audible announcements and the audio signals back on for a short period of time.
    Similarly, Users are notified by their Smart Guides when traffic lights are temporarily turned off. These traffic light devices are available as separate units or as add-on modules to be mounted onto pedestrian countdown displays.

  • On bus stops

    At public transport stops, the Smart Guide receives a radio message from the Equipment containing the name of the stop and relays this message to the User. Additional messages are sent about the buses that serve this stop and their directions of travel. The latter function is available only if the Speaking City system server has received this information, for example, from the municipal transport server, according to an established protocol. The Equipment has a built-in audio transmitter which Users can activate to help them locate and navigate towards a bus stop.

  • On stationary and temporary objects

    Public places:
    banks, drug stores, post offices, schools, rehabilitation centers, etc.
    Health care facilities: 
    Hospitals, clinics, etc.
    Sports facilities and cultural institutions:
    Stadiums, museums, theaters, concert halls, etc.
    Business and trade facilities:
    stores, business centers, malls, etc.
    Railroad stations, ports and airports.
    Underpasses.
    Temporary objects:
    Construction fences and all kinds of barriers related to construction or repair works.

  • Inside buildings

    Any kinds of buildings, any orientation complexity. Orientation inside buildings, independent navigation, locating exits, staircases, elevators, rooms. Etc.

  • In open air areas

    Orientation in open air areas near public places or in parks, museums, beaches, etc.
